By downloading, installing, or using TraKcal ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

TraKcal is a nutrition tracking application for iOS that allows you to log food intake, track calories and macronutrients, monitor water consumption, and review nutritional history. The app is provided for informational purposes and is not a substitute for professional medical or dietary advice.

2. Subscriptions and Purchases

Free Trial: New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. The trial begins automatically upon first launch.
Monthly Subscription: $3.99/month, billed monthly through Apple. Auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Yearly Subscription: $29.99/year, billed annually through Apple. Auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Lifetime Access: $99.99 one-time purchase. Grants permanent access to all current and future features.

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

3. Promotional Codes

Promotional codes grant access to the app and may be subject to usage limits, expiration dates, or specific branding. Codes are non-transferable and may be revoked if obtained fraudulently or in violation of their intended distribution terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
Attempt to circumvent subscription or trial mechanisms
Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Redistribute or resell access to the app

5. Health Disclaimer

TraKcal is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Nutritional data from barcode scans and food databases may contain inaccuracies. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making dietary changes, especially if you have a medical condition.

6. Accuracy of Data

Nutritional information is sourced from third-party databases (including Open Food Facts) and user-submitted data. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all nutritional data is complete or correct. You are responsible for verifying nutritional information for critical dietary needs.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and trademarks associated with TraKcal are owned by us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes (unless under a business/white-label agreement).

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TraKcal and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to health outcomes, data loss, or inaccurate nutritional information.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the app if these terms are violated. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling any active subscriptions.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Norway.
